God was glorified when His Son was lifted up on that cross. God saw our problem, and God fixed that problem. He fixed it when no one else could, and He fixed it because of His great love.
Who would have thought that such a gruesome episode could end so victoriously? Everything changed after Calvary, the curse we would suffer has been reversed. And we can speak now of life instead of death because life is the fruit of the reversal – the blessing of eternal life.
“Knowledge is power” is a very well-known expression. But knowledge is also a liberator. Pastor David mentions this because we have a spiritual adversary committed to deceiving us, causing us to lose focus, and doubting the truth regarding whom we are and the blessed life we have gained through Christ’s death and resurrection.
