Today, we will explore the concept of single parenthood through the lens of Hannah’s journey – from deep anguish to joyful praise—as recorded in the first two chapters of 1 Samuel.
This sermon is anchored in Hannah’s three declarations of “My” in 1 Samuel 2:1, emphasising this truth: We must trust in the Lord in every situation.
We will then move to 1 Samuel 2:6–8, where we confront a vital truth: not dealing with a philosophical idea, a vague Higher Power, or a self-generated inner strength rooted in human will. Hannah knew the Living God – and believers in the 21st century must also trust in His power, especially at the extreme points along life’s journey.
