When the Greeks said, “We would see Jesus (KJV),” they echoed the deep cry of humanity to encounter the living God. Jesus responded by speaking of His glorification—because to be glorified is to be revealed.
From the beginning, mankind was created in God’s image to reflect His likeness and represent Him on earth. But sin shattered that image.
Through Jesus, the second Adam, we are made new. He restores what was broken and marred. And as part of this new creation, we are given a new identity, a new purpose, and a new mandate: to reflect Christ.
We are His image-bearers. That’s why we gather, worship, serve, love, forgive, and live for Him because our ultimate calling is to be conformed to the image of Jesus.
The world still needs to see Jesus – and they can, through us.
