The scripture tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 that there is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.
Regarding climate changes, seasons are primarily due to factors surrounding the earth’s titled axis as it resolves around the sun. As it leans toward the sun, we experience a warmer climate. The seasons are set (autumn, winter, spring, summer) and follow a linear process.
We know the duration; we can see ahead and therefore plan ahead. We feel the changes in the atmosphere as each new season approaches.
The seasons we experience in life operate somewhat differently. They can appear suddenly and catch us off guard. How do we navigate through the difficult seasons without any prior knowledge of it’s duration or purpose?
How do we ensure our faith holds and we remain rooted and grounded during the most challenging seasons?
