Israel was only set free from slavery in Egypt when God showed Himself strong. The mighty Pharaoh had to concede that he and his gods were no match for YHWH.
God bought them out of Egypt with a mighty hand and delivered them into the promised land with many signs and wonders.
How is it possible that these people had such an incredible and miraculous history with God, could a generation that “did not know the Lord or the things that He had done for their forefathers?”. Their ignorance resulted in godlessness and eventually judgment from the Lord.
Today, we live in a society which does not know God or the rich salvation that He offers to all peoples through His Son Jesus Christ. There are things which the church should be aware of that are essential for addressing this problem in our world today. Through our service, we consider such things.
