The church is called out, to be like Jesus in this world. Jesus lived without fear! He was totally focused on His mission.
He knew, that there would be an appointed time for Him to drink the bitter cup of God’s judgment for the sin of the world, but several times, we see in the word of God, how scripture refers to the fact that His hour had not yet come (John 7:30; John 12:27-28).
Jesus focused on the mission and wasn’t distracted by threats, demonic confrontation or anything else. And when His time would come, He would never remain in the grave. His mission was to change the course of history and bring newness of life for all who would have faith in Him.
The church must have the attitude of Christ. We must live without fear but live in faith. Working and focused on the mission, because our lives are in His hands, and after death – like Christ – we shall rise again.
