Sunday 28th March – The Two Gates – Elder Martin Finegan

The contemporary culture we live in presents personal choice as a hallmark of the freedom we exercise.

The options available to us, and the freedom to choose help to form a diverse culture where respect and tolerance create harmony.

With this mindset, it would be hard to conceive a junction where there are only two choices. Here in Matthew 7 the exclusivity of Jesus’ proposition could be deemed offensive within a culture where all roads lead to heaven.

As we study the scriptures, let us be clear on the declaration of the Gospel: ‘Christ alone’, is the only way to peace with the creator.
