Jesus had an incredible ministry; His fame grew due in no small part to the fact that His declaration of God’s word came with power, authority and the demonstration of signs and wonders.
The church has been commissioned and equipped to continue His great work, and He has given us everything we need to complete it. It is not unreasonable to postulate the argument that the intensity with which Jesus ministered is not as prevalent through His church today, although it should be. Jesus intends that the church stand out, arresting the world’s attention through our likeness to Christ.
Maybe we have focused on certain aspects of our mission and overlooked the essential application of a ‘kingdom of God’ mindset for daily living and church functionality. The Kingdom message is about the rule of The Christ. ‘Let your kingdom come…,” so let it come, but may it start in me. Amen!
