This Sunday we go down to the potter’s house – the ordinary, unremarkable place where the prophet Jeremiah once watched a craftsman work, and heard God speak.
From there we trace a single thread through Scripture: God has always been in the business of shaping a people – holding what is marred, filling what is fragile, and preparing what he has formed for a purpose it could never reach on its own.
Together we will unpack a three-fold reality of the Christian life:
“I in Christ” – Position: You are clay in the Potter’s hands — held, watched, and never let go, even when marred.
“Christ in Me” – Presence: The surpassing power of Christ dwelling in an ordinary vessel — treasure carried in jars of clay.
“Christ Formed in Me” – Progress: A vessel purified and prepared, ready for the Master’s use.
