Last week, we considered the tragic reality that Samson did not realise the Lord had departed from him. Having repeatedly abused his Nazirite calling and broken the vow that marked him as God’s chosen servant, Samson serves as a warning to us all about the dangers of drifting spiritually away from the Lord.
This week, we continue Samson’s story by exploring his attitude towards God’s call on his life. Rather than embracing the purpose for which he was chosen, Samson often seemed determined to live on his own terms. Many of us can identify with that struggle. Yet God calls each of us for a reason.
As we discover that we are all pieces in God’s greater plan, we are challenged to embrace His purpose for our lives with faith, gratitude, and obedience, knowing that we are valued and that we have been chosen by Him.
Join us at 10:30am for our regular Sunday service.
