Sunday 7th September – Tear Down the Broken Cisterns – Sister Erica Daniel

The Israelites constantly wavered between worshipping God and turning to idols. In our key text, God brings a charge against His people through the prophet Jeremiah. These were a people once devoted to Him, yet they have now rejected Him.

Throughout scripture, idolatry is a central theme that God’s people continually struggled with. In Exodus 20:3, God commands His people: “You shall have no other gods before me.” Yet the pull toward idol worship persists even to this day.

The Almighty, all-powerful God desires a covenant relationship with His people—one in which He is Lord and at the very centre. Still, the battle for hearts and full devotion continues.

Join us at 10:30 am for our regular Sunday service.
